The conference is the result of a series of teaching, research and consulting initiatives developed in the past two years of the Chair's activity and aims to bring together renowned academics, researchers, representatives of international organizations and civil society to stimulate joint debates. The following questions, among others, were addressed.
Which stress factors (or crises) have had an impact on regionalism in Europe and/or Latin America over the past 15 years?
Can we compare the trajectory of regionalism(s) in different world regions? Is the EU still a model, both for the institutional design and for the study of regionalism in other world regions?
What are the future prospects for regional organizations in Europe and Latin America?
