Heba Amr Hussein graduated from the Freie Universität Berlin in 2014 with an M.A. in Environmental Management. Previously she studied Political Sciences at the same university. Her research interests include local politics in Egypt and authoritarianism. The title of her Master thesis is: “Egypt’s Waste Policy: Its Authoritarian Frame and Local Contestation”. She currently lives in Alexandria, Egypt.
