Ramina Yachkaschi is a research associate and doctoral candidate at the Center for Middle Eastern and North African Politics at the Otto Suhr Institute of Political Science. She works on notions of emancipation in the context of diasporic identities, migration, and spaces of oppression. She studied political science as well as politics and economics of the Near and Middle East at Philipps-Universität Marburg. Her research interests include gender, intersectionality, postcolonial theory, feminist diaspora studies and the SWANA region. She previously worked in foreign ministries, political foundations, and non-profits in Germany and abroad.
