In the report by Katharina Schantz, Prof. Partzsch gives her assessment of the role of meat alternatives in nutrition: "It is impossible to nourish the whole world based on a western diet. This means that countries like Germany need to change their consumption". Therefore, according to Partzsch, meat alternatives represent a compromise: "This means we don't have to change our diet fundamentally".
