Franziska Martini studied Communication Science at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and at IfPuK (M.A. Media and Political Communication). Since 2018, she is a research associate at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society in the research group 14 "News, Campaigns and the Rationality of Public Discourse". In her dissertation, she investigates gender inequalities in online networks.
