The communication scholars Margreth Lünenborg, Ana-Nzinga Weiß, Yener Bayramoğlu, and Bernadette Uth have edited a special issue in which selected contributions from the conference on gender and diversity in journalism have been further developed. The issue was published by the Journal Medien & Kommunikationswissenschaft (M&K) and is available online free of charge.
The conference took place in September 2024 at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies (IfPuK) at Freie Universität Berlin. The selected contributions open up a broad spectrum of research perspectives: They range from (diversity-)critical approaches to new empirical approaches to gender and sex in journalism and journalism research to the analysis of diversity in the context of changes in journalistic roles and tasks due to new technological innovations.
