April 15 – May 31
Master of Arts (M.A.)
German, English (about 25%)
- University degree which includes at least 60 ECTS in media and communication studies (of which at least 10 ECTS were research methods)
- Proof of language skills in German and English. German skills on a high level are an essential precondition for studying at our department as most of the courses of the master’s programs are taught in German.
When applying, students need to prepare sufficient proof that both requirements are met. In case applicants do not have a Bachelor’s degree in media and communication studies, the application will not be successful. There are no exceptions from this rule.
Like other higher education institutions in Germany that regularly receive large numbers of applications, Freie Universität Berlin has implemented Admission Limits (Numerus Clausus) for all Master's programs including Media and Political Communication.
