Considering globally pressing political common-duties, current German climate policy and the climate policy results from the coalition negotiations are being tracked closely abroad, too. An article in the Dutch newspaper AD from 05.11. reports on climate policy trends in Germany and in the coalition negotiations in particular. In an expert interview, Klaus Jacob was also consulted on this topic. He highlights the thematic and strategic relevance of climate policy for the nascent government and identifies issues around financing as pivotal dissents between the negotiating parties.
