While studies and surveys show that Germans are quite serious about climate protection and the majority are in favor of climate protection measures, there is heated debate about the individual measures. According to the latest Deutschlandtrend, the vast majority see themselves as being little or not at all influenced by Fridays for Future, while only a quarter say they have been strongly or very strongly influenced by the protest movement.
