News from Dec 09, 2024
The forum of the Deutsche Verkehrswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e. V. (DVWG) took place on December 6, 2024 in Berlin and brought together experts from science, business and politics on key mobility topics. The aim was to discuss practice-oriented solutions. The focus was on the key areas of road transport, rail transport and shipping with the cross-cutting topics of sustainability, digitalization and resilience. In the session “How sustainable is our mobility in road transport”, Prof. Dr. Lena Partzsch gave a keynote speech entitled “From Paris to Berlin: transport in climate policy”. This was followed by a panel discussion with Prof. Dr. Thomas Richter (Technische Universität Berlin), Prof. Dr. Christian Butz (Berlin University of Applied Sciences) and Dr. Florian Krummheuer (pluto.M), moderated by PD Dr. Martin Kagerbauer (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology - KIT). The high participation of both younger and older participants in the forum was particularly pleasing.
