Like in the last years, the Institute of Sociology at Freie Universität again comes off in the QS World University Ranking in 2019 and climbs up two ranks (from 22 to 20). It’s the best rank within Germany.

Six indicators influence this assessment: the scientific reputation of the institution, the scientists’ citations, the numerical proportion between students and lectures, the reputation of alumni within employers as well as the international composition of lecturers and students.
