Join us for a 3-Day Preparation Course for our MA program | October 8–10, 2025 

We are pleased to invite all incoming MA students to a 3-day preparation course, taking place from October 8 to 10, 2025. This course is designed to help you transition smoothly into the program, understand expectations, and set yourself up for academic success.

What to expect:

Over the three days, we will:

• Clarify program expectations and what lies ahead
• Help you identify any academic gaps and offer strategies to close them
• Provide refresher sessions on key foundational knowledge
• Introduce the essential tools, resources, and support systems
• Show you where and how to access the academic tools you’ll need throughout your studies

Focus Areas

• Basic statistics: Key concepts and methods you'll encounter in the program
• Introduction to STATA: A hands-on orientation to the statistical software used throughout the program
• Academic writing and reading: Strategies for engaging with scholarly texts and producing strong academic work

What You’ll Gain:

• A clear understanding of what is expected of you in the MA program
• Insight into your own strengths and areas for improvement
• Practical tools and resources to support your learning
• Guidance on where and how to find help when you need it

This course is not mandatory but highly recommended. It’s an opportunity to:
