Marcos Andrade Neves ist Post-Doc und Dozent am Institut für Sozial- und Kulturanthropologie der Freien Universität Berlin, wo er dem Forschungsbereich Medical Anthropolgy | Global Health zugeordnet ist. Er erforscht die transnationale Zirkulation von Menschen, Arzneimitteln, Technologien und Dokumenten im Kontext von bio- und nekropolitischen Praktiken, insbesondere Sterbehilfe und Todesstrafe.
