Dimitris Soudias is a research fellow at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS), Philips University Marburg. Among his most recent publications are: “Policing January 25: Protest, Tactics, and Territorial Control in Egypt’s 2011 Uprising”, in: Middle East – Topics & Arguments, 2015, 4: 170-182; Mapping Popular Perceptions: Local Security, Insecurity and Police Work in Yemen together with Mareike Transfeld (Yemen Polling Center, 2014); and Negotiating Space – The Evolution of the Egyptian Street, 2000-2011 (The American University in Cairo Press, 2014).
