On behalf of the faculty and staff at the Institute of Sociology, we would like to welcome you to our
Master’s program “Sociology – European Societies” at Freie Universität Berlin.

The orientation event will provide you with a detailed overview of the Master of Arts “Sociology – European Societies”. In particular, we will introduce you to the structure and the different modules of the program. During the event, you will also have the opportunity to get to know your lecturers and meet advanced students.

The orientation event will take place on Wednesday, 21 October 2020 and will be hosted as an online WEBEX event, from 10:00 until 15:00 (with breaks in between, see detailed program). Please save the date!

10:00 – 11:15 Welcome remarks and information on the structure of the Master program
11:15 – 12:00 Meeting the lecturers
13:30 – 15:00 Introduction to academic work in Germany with student assistants (workshop in groups)
