News from Dec 08, 2022

A website offering resources for different audiences was created in the project Journalism and the Order of Emotions at the Collaborative Research Center "Affective Societies".The website "Emotion in Journalism" addresses in different ways emotions, migration and the role that journalism plays in this context. Accompanied by an explanatory video, the new website not only offers a brief overview of some of the project’s research findings. Those interested may also watch and listen to audio-visual contributions on the topics of flight and migration produced by students from the Institute of Media and Communication Studies. In addition, the website provides videos of participants of the workshop "Fear, Anger and Grief - Emotions in Migration Reporting," in which journalists share their experiences, thoughts and lessons learned after the workshop with the audience. The workshop series was funded by the Federal Agency for Civic Education and carried out in cooperation with the association Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen.
