The Environmental Policy Research Centre is an institution of the Otto-Suhr-Institut at Freie University Berlin and since 1986 conducts research on environmental policy, energy policy, social and ecological aspects of sustainable development, and transition processes. The working group Policy Assessment elaborates policy impact assessments, analyses on evidence-based policy making, environmental and sustainability policy strategies, and analyses on ecological modernization and innovation effects. Its projects comprise basic research as well as applied policy consulting for national and international clients.

The student assistant will:

  • Support current research projects

  • Conduct editings, translations and formatting of scientific publications in German and English

  • Maintain the online presence

  • Support event management

The student assistant ought to:

  • be enrolled in a social and/or political science programme, having completed at least 2 semesters

  • Be fluent in German and English

  • Hold basic knowledge of policy analysis

  • Show interest in environmental and sustainability policy

  • Be proficient with the basic Office-applications

  • Be familiar with basic CMS
