Why need newsrooms to address diversity? And how is it possible? The discussion "Diversity in the Newsroom and Beyond" by project B02 / SFB 1171 will shed light on that questions on 29th of May, 2021, 10.30 AM – 12.00 PM. The discussion is part of the Annual Conference of the CRC 1171 “Diversity Affects – Troubling Institutions”.

Prof. Margreth Lünenborg will present a summarizing introduction about journalism as an affective institution and the challenges diversity poses to it. Dr. Débora Medeiros will moderate the discussion between the guests Sheila Mysorekar (Neue deutsche Medienmacher:innen), Iva Krtalić Muiesan (Westdeutscher Rundfunk), Prof. Alexandra Borchardt (University of Oxford) and Nour Khelifi (journalist, author and script writer).
